I had the privilege of being this young lady's first piano teacher. I
knew from the very lesson that she was special and had a gift. What a
career Gracie has in front of her!! Not only is she super talented but
has such a sweet and kind spirit! What a joy to teach! She still comes every
year as a guest artist to my end of the year student's recital to inspire and
Gracie won the LMTA senior piano concerto competition and performed Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto
Op. 40 No. 2, Movement 3 Presto Scherzando with the Louisiana Youth Orchestra on May 25, 2015.

Melanee Hayes has been studying with me for the past
6 years. Melanee graduated from Silliman Institute
in Clinton, La this past May and plans on continuing
her education at Baton Rouge Community College in general studies. Best of luck to Melanee! I
will miss you!
My favorite composer/arranger is Mark Hayes from
Kansas City. I met Mark
about 20 years ago. I love his
so much that my first
piano solo CD was a collection
of his sacred
I ordered one of his new books,
The Art of The Piano Book 3.
Imagine my surprise when I turned
to the song
"Since Jesus Came Into My Heart"
and saw above the title that he had
dedicated it to me!
What a pleasant surprise and
what an honor to have
my name in one of his piano solo book!
